Getting Around
Getting around Manhattan is incredibly easy because of the city’s grid system, which features avenues running north to south and streets running east to west. The subway is used by over 4 million people daily and is the fastest and most reliable way to get around.
New York taxi cabs are inexpensive and reliable, although according to the time of day you may get caught in some of the city’s famous gridlocked streets. In our opinion walking is one of the best ways to see the city and is easy given the city’s grid pattern. However should you get confused most New Yorkers are more than happy to give directions.
